Warped Brake Rotors

Warped brake rotors can plague any make and model of car, so when we’re discussing a reliable vehicle like the Camry, this is one of their more common problems. Over time, rotors can bend or warp due to high temperatures, excessive use, or defective components. Symptoms include a rough ride or vibration, especially at high speeds, pulling to one side, or generally poor handling. Luckily these rotors are not difficult to replace and our team can typically perform a replacement quickly.

Sensor/Software Issues

Modern sensors and software in Camrys help improve safety features and offer convenience for drivers, but more sensors means more points of failure. Whether the sensor relates to temperature, air flow, emissions, or other components, a failure can cause engine lights to come on and the vehicle to perform erratically. Over the years, we have become adept at identifying and repairing issues with software and hardware, so we can help if this is happening to your Camry.

Transmission Sticking/Slipping

Camry transmissions are generally reliable across most model years, but some owners report gear slippage or hesitation between shifts — especially during cold starts or after extended city driving. As automatic transmission fluid degrades, clutch packs and bands can lose grip under load. You may notice the engine revving higher than expected before engaging a gear, a brief pause when shifting from park into drive, or an occasional clunk as the transmission catches. A fluid flush and valve body inspection often resolves the issue in early stages, while more advanced wear may require a targeted rebuild. Our technicians diagnose the root cause before recommending a repair so you get a lasting fix without unnecessary cost.

Oil Leaks/Low Oil Levels

Some Camrys have experienced leaks coming from valve cover gaskets and/or faster oil consumption due to easily damaged piston rings. While some people think they can just add more oil from time to time, this strategy isn’t a good long term solution. Instead, we can diagnose the issue and provide a lasting repair to keep the oil level where it should be between changes.

We would love to be your go-to partner for any issues with your Camry. If you’re experiencing these issues or any others, come see us today and we’ll be happy to take a look.
