The TLX feels refined when everything is right, so small issues stand out. We see misfires that feel like a shake at idle or a hesitation during acceleration. Many times, the cause is worn spark plugs, a weak coil, or oil that seeped into a plug well from a leaking gasket. Oil leaks can hide on the lower engine cover, and then drivers smell burning oil after a commute. V6 models bring timing belt service into the picture. Skip it, and you risk a no-start day and bigger damage. We also see light-load vibration complaints. Acura MDX

The MDX racks up miles fast, so wear shows up sooner than owners expect. A common complaint is a shudder during steady cruising, often described as a faint rumble-strip feel. We check for torque converter shudder and fluid condition, then we verify with data and a road test. Some MDX owners also report oil use between services. We measure, inspect for leaks, and track trends so you stop guessing. Cooling leaks often show up as slow coolant loss with no puddle. A pressure test and inspection usually reveal the source. Emissions alerts also come up, often tied to EVAP valves or small leaks. Brake wear is another real-world issue on heavier SUVs, so we measure pads and rotors and check caliper slide movement.

RDX owners often say the same thing. “It runs great, then it has a bad day.” We see load-related misfires that show up when you accelerate or climb a grade. We check misfire counters, fuel trims, ignition health, and intake leaks. Coolant loss is common, too, especially when plastic parts and hose connections age. Oil leaks can hide under splash shields, then drip only after a longer drive. Some visits are just a warning light with no symptom. That can still matter, since a sensor reading out of range can hurt fuel economy and readiness monitors. We verify signals before we replace anything. 

Acura ILX 

COMMON PROBLEMS: Cold-Start Rattle, Misfires, Oil Seepage, Mount Wear, Brake Vibration 

The ILX stays pretty straightforward, yet patterns still show up. Some drivers notice a brief rattle on cold start, then it goes quiet. We treat that as a clue, not “normal.” We check timing control behavior, oil condition, and scan data. Misfires tend to show up later in life when plugs wear down or a coil gets weak. Small oil seepage can creep in and cause a hot oil smell after parking. Mount wear can make the cabin feel rough at idle. Brake vibration complaints come up, too, so we measure rotors and check pad wear and hardware condition. 

Acura Integra

The Integra brought a lot of new owners back to Acura, and we see them for routine service and early warning lights. Many issues start as a check engine light with normal driving feel. We scan codes, check freeze-frame, then confirm with live data. Some codes point toward fuel system readings or sensor values that drift, and we verify wiring and connectors before we replace parts. Misfire complaints can show up under load, so we test coils, plugs, and fuel delivery. Cooling leaks can still happen, even on newer cars, often at hose joints or clamps. Suspension noise is another common complaint, especially clunks over bumps, so we inspect sway bar links, bushings, and strut mounts.
