Oil Leaks & Engine Seals

COMMON PROBLEMS: valve cover gasket seepage, oil consumption, timing cover leaks, rear main seal wear

Camry engines, particularly the 2AR-FE four-cylinder and 2GR-FE V6, develop oil seepage from valve cover gaskets and other sealing surfaces over time. Small leaks are easy to overlook until oil loss becomes noticeable on the driveway or the dipstick reads low. We identify exactly where leaks originate and replace seals and gaskets before oil loss affects engine lubrication. Addressing seepage early is far less costly than dealing with bearing wear or engine damage caused by prolonged low oil levels.

Ignition & Misfire Diagnosis

COMMON PROBLEMS: ignition coil failure, misfires, rough idle, hesitation, spark plug wear

Camry engines are generally smooth-running, but ignition coil failures and worn spark plugs are among the most common causes of rough idle, hesitation, and check engine lights on higher-mileage models. When one coil fails, others on the same engine often fail as well. We test each coil and plug individually, identify which cylinder is misfiring, and restore smooth engine operation efficiently. Accurate diagnosis also protects the catalytic converter, which can be damaged by prolonged misfires and is significantly more expensive to replace than ignition components.

Transmission & Shifting Quality

COMMON PROBLEMS: rough or delayed shifts, torque converter shudder, transmission fluid breakdown, hesitation

Camry transmissions are generally reliable but benefit from regular fluid service to stay responsive. Rough shifting, a shudder sensation at light throttle, or hesitation when pulling away from a stop are signs that the fluid or internal components need attention. Torque converter shudder is a common complaint on higher-mileage Camrys and is often addressable early. We check fluid condition and pressure, test shifting behavior under load, and perform fluid exchanges or more specific repairs as needed to avoid the far greater cost of a complete replacement.

Suspension & Ride Quality

COMMON PROBLEMS: strut wear, control arm bushing deterioration, sway bar link noise, uneven tire wear

Camrys are known for a smooth, composed ride, and when the suspension begins to wear, the change is noticeable. Worn struts, deteriorated control arm bushings, or loose sway bar end links produce clunking sounds, a rougher ride, or instability during lane changes. These symptoms worsen gradually and are easier to address early. We inspect the entire suspension system, identify the source of noise or instability, and make targeted repairs to restore the ride quality Camry owners expect. Alignment is verified after any suspension work.

AC & Brake System

COMMON PROBLEMS: AC compressor failure, refrigerant leaks, brake pad and rotor wear, brake fluid contamination

Camry AC systems can develop compressor failures, condenser leaks, or reduced cooling efficiency over time. Brake wear is equally predictable and straightforward to manage. Pads and rotors wear at a known rate, and brake fluid absorbs moisture over time. We inspect the AC system and full brake assembly during every service visit, address worn components before they affect performance, and keep both comfort and safety in good shape. Early attention to both systems prevents more involved repairs down the road.

"Arun and the group at Campbell have been great! Being used to detailed and personable service for over 20 years from Walt's Automotive I was apprehensive about change. While servicing our cars, Auto Driven has shown great care and have been so helpful, personable and thorough."

"Knowledgable expedient understanding and consultative. Eric and Bin knew immediately what the issue was with the 2016 528i and repairs were completed the next morning. Very fair with the cost and provided a lot of recommendations regarding the car as they were very experienced BMW professionals"
