AC RECHARGE

Here’s what most people don’t understand about AC recharges. Refrigerant doesn’t evaporate. It doesn’t wear out. If your system needs more, that means it leaked out, and adding more just delays the same problem. We recover whatever’s left in the system, pull a deep vacuum to remove moisture and air, then charge with exactly the amount stamped on your underhood label. Too much refrigerant creates pressures that kill compressors. Too little makes the system work harder and cool worse. We weigh the charge precisely because eyeballing doesn’t cut it. The compressor needs oil too, and we make sure that’s correct. Quick-lube recharges skip the vacuum and leak check. Those customers come back in a few months wondering why it’s warm again. We’d rather do it once and have it stay fixed.

AC COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT

When the compressor dies, your AC is done until it gets replaced. These units fail in different ways. The clutch bearing seizes and screams. AC LEAK REPAIR

O-rings at hose connections harden over time and stop sealing. Condensers catch rocks through the grille and develop pinholes. Lines crack at crimped fittings from vibration and age. We pinpoint leak locations before quoting anything because some repairs are simple and others involve major parts. Those cans of stop-leak from the parts store might seem appealing.
